How to view this TomeRaider file on the Palm OS devices

This file is a TomeRaider file. Which can be viewed in the 
application TomeRaider available for Windows, Symbian/EPOC and 
the  Palm OS.  In late summer 2000 TomeRaider will be available 
for Pocket PCs.

To view this file in TomeRaider for the Palm OS you will need to 
install onto your Palm Device it using either of the following 
applications:

(1)	TomeRaider for Windows v2 or greater
(2)	TRPImport.exe (Available with the TomeRaider for Palm 
download zip)


We are currently developing a TomeRaider importer for Macs, which
should be available during late Summer 2000.

Installing to the Palm using TomeRaider for Windows

TomeRaider for Windows can be downloaded from 
http://www.tomeraider.com. You do not need to purchase the 
application to install TomeRaider files onto your Palm Device. 
We recommend that you use TomeRaider for Windows to install 
TomeRaider files onto your Palm as (a) it allows you to preview 
the files before HotSyncing and (b) it is the easiest way to 
install files onto your Palm.

After installing TomeRaider for Windows you may view any 
TomeRaider file (like the one included with this "palm_read_me" 
file.). 

If, after viewing the file, you want to install it onto your 
Palm Device then follow these simple but detailed instructions:

[1] With the file loaded into TomeRaider for Windows select the 
    "File" menu option "Export to Palm".

[2] A file requestor will appear asking you to specify the 
    location and name of the Palm database version of the file 
    you are creating. In most cases you will be able to just 
    click "Save".

[3] After clicking "Save" a dialog box will appear where you can 
    give the file a title, as it will appear in the Palm version 
    of TomeRaider, and specify if you want to add the exported 
    file to your HotSync queue.

[4] TomeRaider will then export the file (This may take a minute 
    or so on very large files, eg 5 meg+)


If you selected to HotSync the file then it will be added to 
your HotSync queue. If not then to HotSync the file you will need 
to double click on the *.pdb file you created in step [2].

Installing to the Palm using TRPImport.exe for Windows

The utility TRPImport.exe is a standalone installer of TomeRaider 
files onto Palm Devices. It is available only within the 
TomeRaider for Palm download zip from www.tomeraider.com.

To install TRPImport.exe copy into the same directory the two 
files: TRPImport.exe and Instaide.dll (Also in the TR Palm zip).

Run the TRPimport.exe application by double clicking on it and 
browse to the TomeRaider file you want to import to your Palm 
Device.  Now specify the destination file name of the Palm TR 
file and, if you want to HotSync the file, check the check box. 
You can also give the document a new name/title. 

The importer will convert the file ready for HotSyncing.
